Thinking out loud about all things IMC

Elwood Blues Moments

I just love it when all the PR, Advertising, Emerging Media converge to create the right level of attendance to make a successful event .  It doesn’t always work, but when it does, it’s amazing – and successful outcomes are what keeps me fascinated with the art and practice of IMC.

Those are my Elwood Blues moments – not the original Blues Brothers movie  (an amazing movie beyond compare), but his quote from Blues Brothers 2000:

“…no pharmaceutical product could ever equal the rush you get when the band hits that groove; the people are dancin’, and shoutin’, and swayin’; and the house is rockin’!”

Every time you attempt something new, it feels like you are stepping off the cliff – a very scary place.  When you fail, you learn a lot.  If it is successful, it’s simply grand.  Either way, the desire to get the house rockin’ keeps me coming back for more!
