Making Complex Data Meaningful

leave a comment »

It is so easy to create an Excel spreadsheet with an avalanche of data and statistics.  I receive regular requests to place this type of information on Power Point slides.   Not only do these types of slides put the audience into a Power Point coma, the message that the author wished to convey is often lost.  I was quite inspired today by a post from MediaShift entitled Six Stunning Projects That Show the Power of Data Visualization

This is the TED video of the Hans Roslings presentation featured in the post which is absolutely amazing:

Great food for thought.  How can I make my own data more meaningful?
